People with visible disabilities often experience that they are viewed as 'disabled'. They are reduced to a part of their personality. Whether intentional or not. The rest of her personality is often hidden. Many of their characteristics, abilities and resources are not recognized or even denied.
On the other hand, people with invisible disabilities often have the following experiences: their disabilities are dismissed, not taken seriously and doubted. In addition, there is pressure to hide the disabilities as much as possible in order to conform to the "norm". These barriers in people's minds contribute to the fact that people with disabilities experience rejection, exclusion and discrimination.
With our exhibition we want to contribute to breaking down barriers in people's minds. Expressive photographs by Anna Spindeldreier await you. They are accompanied by entertaining texts based on detailed discussions with the 31 personalities.
